🤖 EiE/STEM Week!!! 🤖
Tonia from NACTEC will be visiting us next week to host two different EiE/STEM units in an after-school setting. All students are invited to attend!! (The units are set up for elementary but the MS/HS kiddos are welcome to join the fun!) Snacks will be provided and a flyer will be posted soon with official dates, times, unit topics, and location (most likely Alicia's room)!

BACK TO SCHOOL (Again!) - On Monday we will return to our regular school schedule. This also includes the return of Open Gym! Hooray!!

SAY CHEESE! - The school photographer will be here Monday. Community photos will be taken on Monday, October 10th (time TBA) and student photos will be taken on Tuesday, October 11th.

SATURDAY MARKET! - The Saturday Market is temporarily moved to the school, located in Deb's classroom (and the cafeteria, if needed) from 1 - 4 pm. Come see everyone this Saturday!

ESKIMO DANCING! - We would like to invite the community to join us tomorrow, Friday October 7th, at 1:30pm for dancing and drumming at the MLO Gym. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Magical Experiences At MLO!

Brian Glow performed for the students and staff of MLO on the morning of October 3rd and then again for the community that evening. Both events were magical and comical, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you, Brian Glow!




NEW AEC MEMBERS! Thank you for all who got out to vote for AEC members. The top two votes were for Ruthie Peterson and Sierra Smyth. CONGRATULATIONS! We will swear in the returning and new members at out next meeting.

MAGIC SHOW! - We are hosting Brian Glow, who will be putting on a magi/comedy show for the community on Monday, October 3rd. Everyone in the community is welcome to enjoy this free show in the gym. Please contact the school for more information.

ESKIMO DANCING! Over the last few days, several of our students and teachers went to Teller for dancing. These are some of the pictures that were taken. Those who attended are: Martha Davis, Frank Amaktoolik Sr., Ciara Fagerstrom, Jesse "Boone" Moses, and Brandon Moses. I hope you all had fun and you did an excellent job representing Golovin!
NATIONAL GUARD BONFIRE! - As mentioned by Sgt. Solomon during the MLO visit, there's a bonfire on the beach tonight, behind the church, and the entire community is invited. Come out and wish them well, as well as a huge "Quyana"! See you there!
